For those that spend the time (usually too much of it) programming their own Indicators, and especially Expert Advisors (EA’s) as I have, I am sure you were not too pleased to see the emergence of decompilers that let the lazy trader rip off others hard work. I have had a few enquiries since I wrote the introductory article on programming indicators as to how you can protect your code from being decompiled and your hard work being stolen.

Akuma99 Time Periods Indicator

As we approach Christmas and the mad present giving commences, I thought I would pass on a few small indicators I have dug up from the back of the closet that might help some with their naked trading. The first of those is a simple time periods indicator for the Metatrader 4 platform which simply let’s you place vertical lines to indicate when a month, week, day or hour starts. It comes in handy if you are looking for price bias on certain days of the week, trading session, or hours of the day.

Programming Metatrader Indicators - Part 5

This part of the series looks at the start() function, what it is, and what it can be used for. There will be a few unknown concepts for those not familiar with programming, but with some hard work, lubricant and luck, I am sure things will become clearer.
